Welcome to the Next Generation Cumbria and North Lancashire page! We’re so pleased you stopped by. This page aims to give you more information about Next Generation GP and the work that is being done in the Cumbria and North Lancashire region.

What is Next Generation GP?

Next Generation GP is a nationally expanding and free to join programme seeking to inspire future leaders within General Practice with an exciting series of workshops and lectures from both local and national leaders within healthcare.

WHAT?
Six evening sessions from engaging local and national leaders, providing excellent opportunities to network with peers and share ideas (sessions will be held both virtually and face to face).

WHO?
Sessions are aimed at GP trainees and early-career GPs (within their first 7 years) who have an interest in leadership and healthcare policy.

We seek to…


ENERGISE: through access to the stories, perspectives and expertise of inspiring leaders at the forefront of Primary Care

ENGAGE: through a supportive network of like-minded trainees and early career GPs

EMPOWER: through a series of workshops, designed to increase your ability to shape care within and beyond your organisation

We are planning 6 evenings online and face to face events for GPs in the Cumbria and North Lancashire region as follows.
The first event will be on 24 March 2022 and the final one will be in the middle of June. We have 2 national events booked which will happen virtually via Zoom. The other 4 events will be split between venues in North and South Cumbria equally and will also have hybrid/virtual access if you can’t travel.
