What is Next Generation GP?

Next Generation GP is a nationally expanding and free to join programme seeking to inspire future leaders within General Practice with an exciting series of workshops and lectures from both local and national leaders within healthcare.

WHAT?
Five evening sessions from engaging local and national leaders, providing excellent opportunities to network with peers and share ideas (sessions will be held both virtually and face to face).

WHO?
Sessions are aimed at GP trainees and early-career GPs (within their first 7 years) who have an interest in leadership and healthcare policy.

WHY?

We seek to…
ENERGISE: through access to the stories, perspectives and expertise of inspiring leaders at the forefront of Primary Care

ENGAGE: through a supportive network of like-minded trainees and early career GPs

EMPOWER: through a series of workshops, designed to increase your ability to shape care within and beyond your organisation

Separate programmes will be held for both North and South Cumbria with programme content specific to leadership conversations within the individual regions.

The first and last sessions will be held jointly, seeing both programmes come together with exciting talks from national healthcare leaders and these sessions will be held remotely.

The middle 3 sessions for each programme will be held in person with talks from local healthcare leaders on a range of leadership topics.
